Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Sep. 19-25, 2020

Published by under Cape San Blas

For Sale Sold Sign The calendar slipped from summer to fall, but the weather didn’t get that memo and continues to be sunny and hot.  Our market remained hot, hot, hot this week turning in ten closed sales and seven new contracts. Sellers added ten new listings and made four price changes. Our inventory soared by sixteen, closing the week at 273, with 80 houses and 193 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market.

As you can see, our inventory of houses is low relative to our supply of lots, so if you’re wondering what your coastal abode might bring in our current market let me know and I’ll prepare a no-cost, no-obligation Estimated Value Report for you.  Simply text or call me at 850-227-5197 or send an email to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and we’ll get started. In the meantime, have a great week, stay safe, and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Reminder – If you would like to read this with the links to the various listings, I can only email them to you now with our new MLS which I’ll be glad to do. Just let me know by sending me a request to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I’ll set you up to receive my blog post with the links each week.

Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review Sep 12 – 19, 2020

For Sale Sold Sign Hurricane Sally passed through here this week on Wednesday dropping about 17″ of rain in 72 hours and bringing with her high surf and a bit of beach erosion but no homes lost. All part of living on the coast. That tropical activity didn’t dampen interest in real estate as buyers brushed Sally aside and closed eight sales and wrote up eleven new contracts. Sellers got in on the action by listing  six new properties and changing prices on four others. Our inventory shed four, closing the week at 257 with 80 homes and 177  lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, and C-30 Corridor MS market.

Demand for property remains high with people learning they can work from home and wanting to escape the unrest in cities. If you own property here and are considering selling let me know, and I will give you a no fee, no obligation comparative market analysis to let you know what your property would likely sell for now.   Hope to hear from you soon. Call or text me at 850-227-5197 or send me an email to sherri@sherridodsworth.com. Have a great week, thanks for stopping by today, and hope to see you back here soon.

Reminder – If you would like to read this with the links to the various listings, I can only email them to you now with our new MLS which I’ll be glad to do. Just let me know by sending me a request to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I’ll set you up to receive my blog post with the links each week.

Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Sep. 5-11, 2020

For Sale Sold Sign With Labor Day now in our rear view mirror we have our sights set on heading into autumn soon and as hot as this summer has been, that cool weather just over the horizon can’t get here soon enough. Not much cooling off in our market this week though, as we closed seven sales and wrote up thirteen new contracts. Sellers added eleven new listings and changed prices on forty-five others, most of which were on lots in Villa del Sol on the south side of the Cape. Our inventory whittled away eight closing this week at 280 even, with 80 houses and 200 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market.

That brings us up to date for this week. Both real estate sales and rentals typically slow in our market after Georgia heads back to school in early August but we’re not seeing that this year so 2020 continues to be the year that defies the norm and does what it wants. Kinda like my little black cat, Squeaky, whose motto is, “I do what I want”. As you can see, property is still in great demand, especially existing structures, so if you’re thinking of selling text or give me a call to 850-227-5197 or drop a line to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I will be glad to provide you with a no-obligation Estimate of Value to help you decide whether or not now is the right time to put it on the market. Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop by today. I really appreciate it and hope to hear from you soon. Have a greatt week.

Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Aug 29 – Sep 4, 2020

For Sale Sold Sign Cape San Blas is sold out for the long Labor Day Weekend and with good weather forecast it looks to be shaping up for a scalloping marathon out on the bay. We had yet another marathon week in real estate as well, closing ten sales and writing up eight new contracts. Sellers added fifteen new listings, five of which come in at well over the $1M mark, and changed prices on eight others.  With that incredible amount of activity, it’s hard to believe we end the week with our total inventory number unchanged from last week at 288, but we do, this week with 85 homes and 203 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, and C-30 Corridor MLS market.

We are definitely in a Seller’s market. Buyer demand remains super high, so if you’re thinking of selling, call or text me at 850-227-5197 or drop me a line to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I’ll be happy to provide you with a no-obligation estimate of current market value for your property. Crazy times we’re living through but it’s all good here on the Cape.  Stay safe, thanks for stopping by today, and I hope to see you back here next week.
