For Sale Sold Sign    Summer has continued well into October and our beaches have been absolutely postcard perfect, calm as a lake with spectcular sunsets even by our lofty standards. No wonder so many visitors want to stay here. Many opted to do just that, with their closing six sales and writing up five new contracts.  Slower than what we’ve been seeing recently but still an impressive volume of activity for this time of year. Compare that with three sales and two new contracts for the same week last year. With the continuing strong demand for property, sellers added fourteen new listings and made fourteen price changes.  Our inventory grew by five, closing the week at 268, with 85 homes and 183 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, and C-30 Corridor MLS market since last week.

Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Oct. 3-9, 2020

Published by under Cape San Blas

For Sale Sold Sign    There was no let up in demand for coastal real estate this week as we closed four sales, wrote up ten new contracts, added ten new listings, and made four price changes. Our inventory remains unchanged at 263, with 81 houses and 182 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, and C-30 Corridor MLS market.

This week everyone along the north gulf coast cast nervous eyes on Delta as it moved menacingly northward through the Gulf on the exact dates two years ago Hurricane Michael was making its way toward our shores. In the aftermath of a category 5 storm that lasted only a few hours, our area was forever changed to measuring time as life before and life after Michael. For Louisiana, this is the third onslaught their region has endured in two months, including devastating cat 4 Laura just a few weeks ago. If you would like to help these people recover, their Governor’s website has links to reputable sources and guidelines as to the most effective ways to do so.

As you can see from this week’s numbers, demands for homes remains super strong, so if you have a house on the Cape you’ve been considering selling and would like to know what it’s likely worth in our current market, let me know and I’ll be happy to provide you with a no-cost, no-obligation estimate of market value. Call or text me at 850-227-5197 or drop a line to sherri@sherridodsworth.com.

Have a great week, stay safe, and thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule for stopping by today.

For Sale Sold Sign Boom. And just like that it was Autumn. Daytime temps in the mid 70’s, low humidity, dipping down into the 50-60’s at night. Bring It.
