Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – July 17-23, 2021

Published by at 8:05 PM under Cape San Blas

For Sale Sold Sign  The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported on Thursday that sales of existing homes nationally rose 1.4% in June year over year. In our Cape market, eleven homes sold in June 2020 and this June we more than doubled that with twenty-three sales.  We continued to race along at high speed this week as we closed five sales and wrote up ten new contracts (three houses and seven lots). Sellers added twelve new listings and made five price changes, one of which was an increase. Our inventory remains unchanged from last week, closing once again at 117, with twenty-six homes and ninety-one lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market.

Demand for houses remains strong, but lots are moving again as well, so if you’re considering selling, this is a perfect time to make your move. Conversely, if you’re thinking of buying, prices are on the rise and mortgage rates dropped again this week so you might want to act sooner rather than later. Either way, simply call or text me at 850-227-5197 or drop a note to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I’ll help you get started.   Thanks for stopping by today and hope to hear from you soon.
Reminder – If you would like to read this with the links to the various listings, I can only email them to you now with our new MLS which I’ll be glad to do. Just let me know by sending me a request to sherri@sherridodsworth.com and I’ll set you up to receive my blog post with the links each week. Also, if you have been regularly receiving the blog with links and it suddenly stopped, please let me know as I am still sending it to you but for some reason some weeks ago a number of readers stopped receiving it and I need to see if I can figure out why that is.
