Indian Pass

Indian Pass – “The Pass”

Adjacent to the Cape is another tiny peninsula, Indian Pass. This picturesque, “Old Florida” community has a nostalgic charm that makes it a true treasure.

Heavily wooded dunes and screens of cabbage palms frame the restored beach cottages, newly constructed homes and recently prepared home sites.

This community is complemented by another natural wonder – a short boat ride across “The Pass,” is St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge, an inhabited barrier island just across from the pass.

Across from the beach rests the Indian Lagoon, one of the most productive oyster beds in Florida. For a flavor of these delicacies stop by the Indian Pass Raw Bar to see “Gator’ and Jimmy, a unique flavorful spot to eat and enjoy the Indian Pass culture.

Dotted along the peninsula are authenthic and beautifully restored   “Old Florida” homes  neighboring with rusty metal roofs, new construction, alligators, eagles and herons. All part of living at the Pass.

Commercial activity is restricted to an inviting campground and public boat ramp at the end of the peninsula, The Raw Bar and Turtle Beach Inn.
